Community trauma informed care" refers to an approach where a whole community understands and responds to the widespread impact of trauma experienced by its members, aiming to create a safe and supportive environment that minimizes re-traumatization by acknowledging the signs of trauma and adapting practices across various sectors like healthcare, education, and social services to better support individuals with traumatic experiences; essentially, it's a holistic approach to addressing community trauma by considering the collective impact of traumatic events on individuals and systems within a community.
